BLUEPRINT FOR REVIVAL

The COVID-19 pandemic has rocked the hospitality industry, causing restaurants, hotels and bars to shut down and reduce capacity across the state. The North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association (NCRLA) is leading the industry toward recovery with their Blueprint for Revival plan, which outlines immediate industry relief and rebuilding measures. Presented to NC Governor Roy Cooper and the NC General Assembly, the comprehensive policy and legislative plan includes a $300 million assistance program, property tax payment flexibility and revaluation, workforce development funds, and more. Our team secured coverage in multiple outlets such as The News & ObserverWNCT-TV and ABC Eyewitness News to highlight NCRLA’s recommendations and industry leadership.

COLLABORATION LEADS ENGAGEMENT

The City of Durham, North Carolina, is working with our client Wildlands Engineering to build a constructed wetland to help filter polluted stormwater from nearby areas and preserve nature around South Ellerbe Creek. Our team is helping to inform and educate the public about the project and we are fortunate to work alongside our friends at Horizon Productions to bring the content to life. The Horizon team created an engaging, educational video about the benefits of constructed wetlands that we could use in multiple ways to inform the local community through the city stormwater division’s social media channels

CASUAL DINING MODEL REIMAGINED

Through our partnership with franchise development leader, Fransmart, our team had the pleasure of helping to introduce Taffer's Tavern – an innovative, full-service tavern franchise founded by industry leading hospitality expert and star of Paramount Network's Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer. The first location in Alpharetta, Georgia, is now open and Taffer is leveraging his decades of experience in the hospitality industry to “start a casual dining revolution,” as reported by FSR magazine. Our team is focused on securing earned media coverage for the unique concept to catch the attention of qualified franchisee prospects, ranging from profiles in business outlets like Forbes to cover story features in trade pubs like like Bar Business Magazine and 1851 Franchise

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS

When one of our longstanding clients, contract research organization (CRO) Rho, led a website rebranding initiative with local branding and digital agency partner R+M, we had a chance to connect the dots to our social media content program and open new insights. We worked together to brainstorm opportunities, set benchmarks and establish new KPIs for Rho’s social media strategy. When developing monthly content calendars, we can now use UTM tracking codes to identify the top traffic-driving posts to the Rho website and are able to carry the new design and brand identity to Rho’s LinkedInFacebook and Twitter channels.

DYNAMIC DIVERSITY

When you have a great story to tell, there is often more than one way to tell it. As media outlets evolve to share content in multiple formats, such as print publications adding video and audio channels, sometimes it can all be found within one outlet. Business North Carolina featured Willy Stewart, CEO of our client, Stewart, in this month’s feature story entitled, “Dynamic diversity: The changing look of N.C. executive power.” The insightful article comes after our team secured a front page feature story and podcast interview last year. Hint: They’re worth both a read and listen.

MULTI-GENERATIONAL LEADERSHIP

Our team was thrilled to partner with Krowne, a multi-generational, family-owned company that has been manufacturing high-quality stainless steel products in the U.S. for more than 70 years. We helped share the exciting news of a change in leadership, as Kyle Forman succeeded his father, Roger Forman, who served as president of the company for more than 36 years. Learn more about this entrepreneurial family’s legacy in the sample stories we secured in Foodservice Equipment Reports and Total Food Service
