LARGEMOUTH’S VICE PRESIDENT TO SPEAK AT RALEIGH’S HIGH FIVE CONFERENCE

Largemouth Vice President Kelly Propst is taking the stage at the High Five Conference in Raleigh, North Carolina, this week. The three-day creative and marketing conference is touted by Forbes as one of the top marketing conferences to check out in 2018, calling it “the right blend of entertainment, networking, and fun.” The High Five Conference runs today through Thursday, Feb. 28, in downtown Raleigh and is packed with speakers discussing best practices for integrated marketing strategy, creative collaboration, content marketing, brand strategy, and more.

Propst is speaking on a timely topic for February—love. More specifically, the relationship between marketing and PR pros with a presentation titled “Marketing and PR Sittin’ in a Tree.” Here’s a summary of what she’ll cover during the Lighting Session on Tuesday, Feb. 27:

  • MARKETING AND PR SITTIN' IN A TREE: There are nearly endless ways to market your company. So how do you decide where to focus your limited time and resources? By now, we all understand that storytelling is key, but getting the most out of the content development pipeline is crucial to maximize visibility and engagement for your brand. When it comes to activating public relations as part of the mix, marketing teams can apply the traditional KISS principle of design--with a twist: Keep it simple, storytellers. In this quick session, Kelly Propst, vice president of Largemouth Communications, covers three simple steps to maximize materials in the marketing toolkit through owned, earned and shared channels.

Propst will challenge marketers in attendance to share their PR collaboration wins using #thisisPR on social channels.

Our friends at Walk West are sponsoring the High Five Conference live stream. If you can’t attend, be sure to tune in on Feb. 27, at 2:15 p.m. to view the keynote presentation. High Five Conference Lighting Sessions consist of four speakers, each taking 10 minutes on stage. Propst is joined by Centerline Strategy Director Greg Harbinson, Dude Solutions Digital Marketing and Analytics Manager Brian McDonald and C5 Insight Managing Partner Geoff Ables.

This year’s High Five Conference keynote and breakout speakers of note include Aaron Draplin of Draplin Design Co., Amanda Valentine from Project Runway, and best-selling author Jackie Huba.

His tales (both professional and fishing) are impressive and he swears by the following adage: “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, you get rid of him for the weekend.”
